Crossbred Cattle and Weaned Calves

At the Sharp Ranch, we have a wide variety of Crossbred Cattle. We market our cattle at all stages: bull calves, heifer calves, long bred and short bred cows. This allows us meet the needs of a variety of buyers within a wide price ranch.

We also have an extensive Crossbred and Dairy Cross calf operation. We sell these calves after weaning and conditioning. Our starting price after weaning is $200. We raise 100-175 calves per year.

Bermuda Grass

All of our cattle are out to pasture in Bermuda Grass meadows and fed Bermuda Grass Hay and Range Cubes. We feed an average of 3 lbs of Range Cubes per day. As a result, all of our cattle are moderate frame, smooth cows.

Our pastures are sprayed every year with GRASSHOPPER liquid foliar fertilizer. For more info on GRASSHOPPER, click on our Liquid Fertilizer page.

Sale Barn Cattle

In addition to a Crossbred breeding program, we will also market our 'Sale Barn' cattle. We will frequently purchase various types of cattle through auctions. These cattle will then be wormed, vaccinated, bred to Charolais or Angus Bulls (if open), and conditioned (adding considerable weight). After we have added considerable value to these cattle, we will then offer the cattle to private parties. This allows buyers to purchase quality cows at a competitive price without the risk and guesswork of auctions.

We will put together a herd based on your needs and requirements. We have an expert Order Buyer that can put a new herd together - Crossbred or Breed Specific. The cattle will be obtained from our ranch, private parties, and cattle auctions. All cattle will be to your specification and very competitively priced. All cattle will be wormed, vaccinated, and conditioned upon request. Our standard rate is $50 per head.

 

Cattle Transportation

We will transport cattle for free within a 50 mile radius of Hagansport, TX. After 50 miles, our rate is $2 per mile. We also offer Cattle Transportation at the same rate for your personal transporting.

Winter Pasture

For those who are looking for a winter lease. We have a 500 acre piece in Arkansas that is planted in wheat and ready for your winter cattle. Our rate is $12 per cow. Transportation is also available at $2 per mile.
